I'm an economist broadly interested in the formation and deterioration of social systems, uncertainty, and modern civics.
Professionally, I am an economic consultant at Quantitative Economic Solutions. I also facilitate challenging conversations about politics through Porch Talks. Previously, I helped with relational organizing efforts in Texas, conducted economic research at the German Economic Institute and Stanford University, and assisted in economic development efforts at the World Bank. I studied economics and mathematics at Stanford University.
Outside of work, I like to talk with friends and family, play sports (running, tennis, and basketball are my favorites), read books, sing (I'm a bass), and write. If any of this piques your interest, reach out to me on Twitter or email me at jbreinecke@gmail.com. I'm always happy to connect!
